My Story: I Didn’t Choose This Life. But I Chose to Build a Business That Works for It.
In 2001, I became my parents’ caregiver. Cancer, joint replacements, and chronic illnesses changed the course of my life. I was navigating hospital stays, insurance battles, and medical decisions—while trying to build a career.
Then, my daughter was hospitalized with a life-threatening eating disorder.
My other daughter had undiagnosed chronic conditions that led to repeated injuries.
Even today, as a young adult, she still needs an advocate to navigate the system.
Meanwhile, I was growing businesses, coaching entrepreneurs, and running IT & Operations for 7- and 8-figure companies.
And yet…
I still had to step away for doctor’s appointments.
I still had to work from my car in the hospital parking lot.
I still had to keep my business running while life demanded my attention elsewhere.
The traditional way of doing business? It wasn’t built for me.
So I built something better.
The Birth of the Carepreneur Movement
I didn’t just create a business. I created a new way to run a business for people like us.
Because we’re not just entrepreneurs. We’re Carepreneurs.
And Carepreneurs need a different kind of system—one that:
